What have you been putting off doing? Why? Studying for my practitioners license exam. I had fallen into my old pattern of procrastination. That changes now.

When was the first time you really felt like a grown up (if ever)? At age 44 when my daughter joined our family.

If you had a million dollars to give away, who would you give it to? The homeless.

What’s something you would attempt if you were guaranteed not to fail. A triathlon.

Who are your favorite artists? Prince and Stevie Wonder favorite musical artists.

What is your favorite hobby or pastime? Reading.

What would you do if you lost all your possessions? Be grateful for the time I had them.

What’s a topic or issue about which you’ve changed your mind? The value of protests and boycotts in 2025. Initially I thought worthless as I compared everything to the Montgomery bus boycott which lasted over a year before change happened. Now I see it is a victory for folks to have their voices heard.

Tell us about a time when you felt out of place. When I was in high school, I felt out of place with both the Black students and the white students.
