Elijah “Pumpsie” Green 1933 to 2019 first Black player for Boston Red Sox who were the last team to integrate in 1959.

Habesha, is a common term used to describe people from the northern part of Ethiopia and parts of Eritrea. Though you can find Habeshas in the surrounding countries such as Kenya, Sudan, Djibouti, Somalia, and even in Yemen.

National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives or NOBLE was founded in 1976. Their goal is to provide solutions to law enforcement issues and concerns.

National Bar Association was founded in 1925. They are the largest and oldest network of Black attorneys and judges.

National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice or the NABCJ was created in 1974. Their goal is to promote interests of Blacks in the justice system.

National Medical Association or the NMA was founded in 1895. They are the largest and oldest professional organization for Black physicians.
