If you had to get a tattoo right now, what would it be and why? If I had to get a tattoo right now I would have “mom” and “dad” redone on my hands. The tattoos are fading but not the memories.

If you could erase one event from history, what would it be? If I could erase one event from history it would be slavery in the United States.

How do you deal with uncertainty? I deal with uncertainty with prayer, grace, and meditation.

What’s a moment when you realized you were officially an adult? I realized that I was officially an adult when I became a mother and a tiny human being was dependent on me.

Which is the best restaurant in your city? I am in Edinburgh, Scotland and the best restaurant is “Taste of Italy”

If you had a time machine and could send just one message to your past self, what would it say? If I have a Time Machine and could send a message to my past self I would say: love.

Which author would you love to have dinner with? I would love to have dinner with Maya Angelou.

If your future self could send you one sentence, what do you hope it would say? I my future self could send me one sentence I hope it would say: “love yourself first, forgive everyone. Have joy.”

What’s a thing you wish schools actually taught? I wish schools taught folks the importance of taking care of your mental health.
