Share a story about someone who had a positive impact on your life. Delores Harris, who I met when I was 5 years old. She was a librarian then with no children and I spent time with her every weekend until I was 11. She fostered my love of reading. When I was 11 she gave birth to the first of her 3 children and I babysat all of them, my first job. I last saw her in May of 2024 when she spoke at my father’s funeral. For 57 years she has had and continues to have a profound impact on my life.
