What jobs have you had?
My first job was babysitting, 50 cents an hour, 58 years ago. I mowed the neighbor’s yards, helped my dad build houses.
My first job with taxes taken out was at McDonald’s. I worked at IBM and AVCO electronics. During college I worked in the library and as an au pair in Paris.
After law school I had a fellowship with Legal Aid, then I worked in the Public Defenders office and taught in pre-law programs at Hastings and the University of Idaho, and in law schools at Golden Gate and New College.
I was a freelance writer for a couple of years then I got into Public Relations. I worked for Medea Benjamin’s campaign and for lots of non profits through the Spin Project.
In 2001 I became the Director of Public Affairs and Communications for CBS TV and Radio in SF. Also served in that capacity for Seattle and Sacramento.
I also produced three public affairs tv shows.
I continue to write, blog, podcast, and perform.
